A potential Chychrun trade

Created by: Chopper02
Team: 2021-22 St. Louis Blues
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 8, 2022
Published: Mar. 9, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Don't foresee the Blues making a move for him, but then again he's Doug Armstrong. Terrible at signing contracts, great at trading. Don't think the Blues will want to part ways with Barbashev but I don't see Arizona wanting Sundqvist AND Scandella. Blues ask they add in Crouse instead.

Bolduc I'm fine with. But Arizona also has said they want an Eichel type deal. While they won't get exactly that, it also didn't entail any prospects (Krebs was not a prospect). So I gave them Barby and Perunovich instead.

Now that Perunovich is out long term, yeah I think we'd have to

Krebs absolutely was a prospect. He was a 21 year old with 13 NHL games under his belt. IMO Arizona would want a grade A prospect, a solid roster player, a 1st in 2022, and another high end piece (be it a prospect, player, or pick)

He was just starting his rookie season. If they hadn't traded for Patrick that slot would have been his. Wouldn't call him a prospect at that point, but I can see the argument why he would be considered. Arizona has to know that they're not going to get everything Eichel got. Chychrun is good, but not a number 1 defenseman just yet, unlike Eichel who was a number 1 center.

Chychrun is absolutely a #1 D man.

He's not yet. He may be a number 1 in Arizona but that's not very hard. Right now he's a 2 or 3.

If you think so... You are clearly the expert on him
