Description
It's clear we need a scoring boost in the bottom six and that Laviolette doesn't trust McMichael quite yet, so adding Jarnkrok is a good pickup for us.

Getting a goalie like Varlamov would be a huge boost, just having a goalie we know we can rely on. Samsonov isn't on his game consistently enough, and Vanecek doesn't appear to have a Cup winning ceiling. I love adding Mayfield in the trade to get a big body that can clear the crease on the backend.

I like the Jarny trade for sure. He is a more complete forward and should be real nice on the 3rd line and could fill in at center if injuries happen. Plus, he's the kind of player that Lavs would not scratch time and again. I would like that VarlyMayfield trade too but I would think they'd want more for that. I really don't know what Bmac will do with the goalies and am really interested to see what he does if anything.

I'm beginning to think we can ride with Vanecek with the consistency he's shown the last two months, even with an injury thrown in there. I'd like us to beef up the rest of the lineup in front of him, specifically getting bigger on defense, but I think he can provide good enough goaltending to win a round and get rolling.
