leafs decline. Niemela is a piece theyd use in getting a guy like lindholm, not subban, id rather spend a first tbh, but it would still be a no with all the other pieces added on

I think if we are assuming Mrazek has negative value coming to us, we should assume he has negative value going to Caps (or whomever) as well.

Is he really that bad? I know the numbers arent so good this year and he is overpayed, but he has had a pretty good career. My thought was that im sure someone is looking for a goalie, that why i involved him in this.

He has had some pretty soft goals mixed in with some routine performance.
My guess is that he could rebound with new team, healthy start to season, etc.
But I am mostly speculating.

If these 1st round picks/prospects are the ask to "dump" him, TOR will keep him and work to improve his game. No sense in repeating the Marleau fiasco.

Value is about right for Mrazek, but the fit isn't in DC. With Samsonov and Vanecek already occupying the top 2 goalie roles, and Washington being very close to the cap limit, there isn't a way for this to go through.
