If that is the best offer we get for Lehkonen, we will just keep him. We need good futures not roster players for him and Chiarot.

I'm fine with bringing in Lehkonen, but giving up Poulin to do it doesn't fit Hextall's plan of keeping the team good plus building for the future. I don't think you need to give up probably your top prospect to make this happen. That's just my opinion, Kapanen and the pick is probably enough unless the Capitals make it a bidding war. Wouldn't make sense to bring in another D unless one is going out. DeSmith has played well enough recently to not need another goalie, especially with Domingue in WBS.

They haven't really been saying that lately. It's turned into more "we want to add but we have little cap space" which can easily be fixed by getting rid of Kapanen. More so if they find a taker for Pettersson who is a healthy scratch now.

Kapanen just doesn’t make any sense for Montreal. If Montreal trade Lehkonen then it will be for something that will make them better on the long term. Not for a underachieving winger who will command a similar contract then Lehkonen could get if Montreal where to extend him. As for the prospect, Pittsburgh doesnt have many prospect that are worthy to trade for that would had to Montreal depth chart.

Kapanen & his 4.4M QO is bad
It dropped all is value
Poulin isn’t a blue chip prospect, so even if he is your best, we wouldn’t trade Lehkonen for Samuel

Not sure Poulin would be in the top ten prospect pool of Montreal.
