So we trade Olofsson, Ruotsalainen, the Fla 1st and retain 1 million for 4 years and we get Larsson and Clarke?

I think Arizona loses this trade big time

1st and a 3rd for an injured Chychrun, Ruotsalainen for Larsson on an expiring deal. Seems okay to me.

Brandt Clarke for VO and the money doesn't matter cuz they're not sniffing the cap in that time frame.

All seems fair when I look at it like this

Arizona rejects the first trade, And LA rejects the 2nd trade. Rob Blake isn't dealing Brandt Clarke.

I think Arizona will want a much better prospect in a chychrun return.

A more realistic trade would see Clarke go to Arizona and Buffalo not involved

Id rather see BUF add more to get Clarke, they need RHD prospects desperately. Can add more to ARZ too if need be. Suggestions?

I suggest we draft one with our top 10 pick and trade for or sign a vet to pair with Power

They should do that regardless IMO. What vets you like?

Take a gander at any of my AGMs.

Depends on who is available and what they cost, either in a trade or in free agency

I think this GM team is far to complicated, if there is a player Buffalo needs they should go and get them. They need an experienced RH D with good term, Tey already have enough prospects and will only add more during the draft, Clarke and even Chychrun don't help the Sabres, what the team needs is to build these players with there own resources.

Explain which RHD prospects you're talking about

They could reasonably draft 1 or 2 RHD in the first and second round of the 2022 draft. Add the three 2nd rounders in 2023 that's a lot of possibility to draft by position at least once.

Currently the team has Johnson (if signed), Bryson, laakksonen, Fitzgerald and even Samuelsson who could all switch to the right. Nick Hjalmarsson was phenominal on the right side for example.

I would add that Owen Power could cover the right side very effectively. Everytime I've seen Power play he is very fluid accross the whole zone.

Unless the Sabres can sign someone like Manson for 3-4 years, they should just carry on as they have. A number of players have made great progress this year such as Tage who is now a center, so hardly a reach to move a left shot D to the right side.

Your plan is to move all of their LHD to the right side. That's not a solution I would put a ton of faith into. Bryson is a 3rd pair guy at best and laaksonen wont be an NHLer most likely. Banking on another Tage scenario to play out like that is a reach at best and a dangerous plan 11 years removed from the playoffs. This team needs players drafted or traded for that are proven on that side. Enough taking shots in the dark

Good stuff man. I like what you've done on some of those. Im a fan of Radko Gudas as a trade option. As far as UFA I like Ruuta, letang(if you can get him) or Zadorov
