I hope you are wrong about the oilers one.. with Barrie, Bouchard, Ceci on the right, I don’t see how Brown fits.. also, if I was to trade Barrie, I would want to get a decent defence man to replace him. Brown to Edmonton doesn’t work in my opinion.

Stranger things have happened, but I'd be shocked if they got a 1st for Paul

I think you're pretty accurate, teams might be changed but the returns seem reasonable.

I'm with claesson4norris that I'd be shocked as well if Paul alone got a 1st. I could see a scenario where it's like Paul and Boston 3rd for a bottom 5 1st or a Paul and someone else. I think a good scenario would be the Dzingel treatment, 2 2nds. One this and one next year. Wishful thinking probably but that would be sweet

OP says "Ottawa takes some salary back" from Tampa but the problem is I don't see who... They literally have no bad contract. Their worst contract is Ryan McDo but they can't afford to move him as he's still an important player

Also, I don't think Josh Brown has any value but we never know... Gudbranson was traded for a 7th last TD

He's insurance. No playoff team is acquiring Brown to play in their top six.

Bad phrasing on my part, I meant Ottawa retains some of Paul's salary

yeah, could see that too! I just love the player and hate the idea of letting him go for less than a 1st (and maybe some other sweetener like retaining salary or an extra pick).
