Value seems ok on both sides. Although, San Jose is in no position be trading ANY draft picks/prospects.

Trading Bordeleau is a bad idea. Dahlen and Merkley fine but Bordeleau should stay.

Sharks can't afford Laine next year. Even if he just takes his 7.5m QO again and walk as a UFA. The Sharks can't afford him and Hert's raise without getting rid of a nice chunk of money.

Make a new post and set the year to 22-23 and make this trade, try to make the money work. Makes it easier to work through it all.

Jackets pass. If Laine declines to re sign then I could see this trade being fair value if you take out peeke
