Created by: GoHabsGo99
Team: 2021-22 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 18, 2022
Published: Mar. 18, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Hughes is not actively shopping guys, i think he has set his price with teams and they either meet it or they don't
Trades
1.
MTL
ANA
  1. Lehkonen, Artturi
Additional Details:
Our most sought-after trade chip now as a very good 5v5 player who can play the PK...an important part of our team and is still young enough to fit our timeline, however...we pay Byron and Armia $3.4M each...can we really afford another minimum $3.4M top9/bottom 6 Winger? If there is an offer Hughes/Gorton can't refuse they will pull the trigger. If not, they hold onto him and sign him then look to move Byron who has 1 year left.
2.
MTL
ANA
  1. Kulak, Brett
Additional Details:
Prototypical TDL Dman...Solid bottom pair guy at 5v5, the organization wants to keep him around unless a team misses out on their first couple options and sends a desperate offer
3.
MTL
ANA
  1. Wideman, Chris
Additional Details:
Another classic TDL guy...bottom pair, PP2 unit help
4.
MTL
ANA
  1. Armia, Joel
Additional Details:
For whatever reason teams have kicked tires on him?? performed well in the playoffs but has been a ghost this year...a contract we would have to pay to get rid of (unless there is legit interest)
5.
MTL
ANA
  1. Hoffman, Mike
Additional Details:
complete disappointment lol

How has Hoffman been a disappointment? He has exceeded my expectations. For a guy I thought was lazy and had a bad attitude, he works his butt off despite not being good in his own zone, he back checks and works hard. He has missed considerable time with injury (shoulder, big deal) and is on pace for about 42 points this season on an awful team with an atrocious powerplay.

I think he's been quite good to be fair, he's grown on me.

And we could not underestimate the fact that all year long Montreal didn’t have a true centerman to play with Hoffman. Give him a good offensive center and he will pin you up 25 goal quickly.
