Value-wise, I don't think the EDM trade is far off the mark, but it's hard to tell with that many pieces involved. However, I don't think the team would be interested in the foundation of that trade (Yamo for Zadina) heading into the playoffs. I wouldn't do it at all because I like Yamo and am not high on Zadina but, if something like that were to happen, it'd be an offseason kind of move.

thank you i thought edm fans would be upset about that one. My thinking is it frees them up money with kassian gone and not needing to resign yamamoto, it could maybe free them up to keep kane this offseason, and zadina in a new environment could thrive

Yeah, Kassian being involved pushes the value in favour of EDM if I try to view this from DET's perspective. If it weren't for my own poor perception of Zadina, it'd probably skew too much in favour of EDM, in fact. The cap factor would be huge and is probably something you could demand a 2nd for alone.

Bertuzzi makes much more sense to trade in the offseason or next year. The whole "can't play in Canada" thing hurts his value right now.

I’d be pretty close to doing that Pit trade but they might ask you to do less picks and take a better NHL player in Petterson, that way they can use Kap to a defensively good team to get a dman to replace

Ottawa says no thanks, we'd rather Brannstromm who is an elite replacement when Chabot is out and he might be Chabot's defensive pairing partner for the future. Plus there is nothing in the package that interests us, if you want Brannstrom, I'd entertain a Brannstromm for Zadina swap.

Kapanen has hit 20g once despite playing with some of the best offensive players in the game. Hållander is still trying to figure out how to be effective in the AHL. A end of the round 1st in a draft where a teams best option if they don't finishing the bottom 10 is to trade their pick. Last I check no one from the Wings has said anything about having to or wanting to trade Bertuzzi. At least last year Friedman said Toronto was interested in Bertuzzi. The only person who has mention a Bertuzzi trade has been David Pagnotta (of the 4th Period) and he even said the reason he mentioned is because several teams were interested in him last season and Yzerman has said he will listen to offers. Maybe Detroit trades Bertuzzi but not for this it's quantity not quality. There is Bertuzzi's choice not to vax but it hasn't been an issue for them this year so WHY discount him him for another team because of it???

personally i think he's quite underrated watching him, just hasn't had a lot of consistency in edm always new linemates and varying roles, if he had a secure spot on the second line i could see him being a 40-50pt winger

He is fine when he is playing with someone who drive the offense but he can't do it by himself. I'm not saying Zadina can because he can't but NO ONE wants Turris or Kassian and Devin Shore 27yr old bottom 6 forward that isn't better than the players on Detroits 4th line. Then they throw in Yamamoto and it a good trade sorry it isn't

Look at his game and scoring logs:

These trades are horrendous for Detroit, Pittsburgh just doesn't have the pieces for Tyler Bertuzzi, It's already been reported that Nick Leddy is going to Dallas @ $2,750,000 for Dallas's 2022 2nd round pick. Edmonton trade no thank you. And Stecher has been dealt to LA for their 2022 7th round pick.
