That’s comparable to Tampa’s defence, stacked left side and worse right side, except the leafs still have a better right side than Tampa

I'd take Cernak over any Defenseman the Leafs have.

I think you're underestimating Cernak, guy is a stud. And Sergachev can play the right side when needed to

Brodie>cernak cmon now. Tampa’s defence is still better but it’s comparable

I think you're right for the most part. But he did trade away the guy who's currently 9th in the NHL in scoring for Tyson Barrie. That's got to be considered at least a little detrimental to the forward group right?

Oh yeah definitely comparable. Just saying that Tampa's right side isn't too shabby either

yea I mean at the time trading Naz made sense. Doesn't matter what he does now if he's suspended every playoffs leaving a massive hole.

Also Naz was like a 60 point player for us and Kerfoot is on pace for like 55. Clearly a downgrade no doubt, wish we had him, but like the offence is still elite and some people had to move in order to make space for this D. Like everyone was always saying we need to downgrade forwards a bit to upgrade D - we've maybe slightly downgraded on F (though not really by much as the young stars have gotten so much better, added Bunting, finally have a real checking line, etc.) but the D is just miles better than Lou's
