Kane has to be signed

Created by: Copenhagen
Team: 2022-23 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 20, 2022
Published: Mar. 21, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Kane is exactly what the Oilers needed for a long long time. He brings something that JP and Yamo dont bring. He is more important than both of them combined.

Don worry about the cap. The lineup has to change and someone decent has to go.
Kane is the point.

I don't think edmonton can afford him.

I cant see puljujarvi getting less than 3.5 million.

The Kotkaniemi contract will dictate what Puljujarvi gets, IMO.

I agree, some current players will need to be moved in order to re-sign Kane. I'd say Kassian, Foegele and Barrie are the prime candidates to be moved this summer to make room. Smith too, of course, but money will need to be spent on his replacement.

Zero chance of that happening unless he gets a chunk from SJ.
Top 3 forwards get a lot more, in fact I think 5 million is to low.

Agree 100%
They just cant let Kane go. Kassian/Barrie are first on my list to go.

Is it just me or has puljujarvi lost it? After this injury he looks like hes lost his skating and balance. He is just skating around flailing and firing the puck into people's feet. I all of a sudden don't want to go long on his contract. I think 3.5x3 is all I would do.

He's not up to speed yet, but still effective. I'd go longer with him, as long as it's affordable.
