Trades
1.
MTL
  1. 2022 2nd round pick (SJS)
  2. 2023 4th round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
Trading a 2nd & 4th for Cap Purposes. ARZ have lots of picks, but really need players with a higher hit than outgoing salary for the next few years; Weber will save MILLIONS and Byron provides another 600K$ on top.
2.
MTL
  1. 2022 2nd round pick (TOR)
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
I would trade Petry out somewhere to a team that would fit him well, but also be able to be a top 4, but on the second line. I think he'd be good for Seattle. They have the cap space next year (22M$ at this time) but their RFAs are not all going to commend 4M+ per year. So they get a full pledge Dman able to move the puck and leader.
3.
MTL
  1. 2023 4th round pick (ANA)
Additional Details:
ANA get a veteran for their 3rd line at 3M$; at that price Drouin is worth it. And they pay out a 4th pick 2023, and they have plenty in the first 3 rounds. So no big loss for ANA who'll need to fill up the ranks again with all those older UFAs coming up.
ANA
  1. Drouin, Jonathan ($2,500,000 retained)
4.
MTL
  1. 2022 4th round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
I picked Dallas because of the cap space they'll have, but really I would trade him anywhere who'll take him for a mid-round pick.
5.
MTL
  1. Barron, Morgan
Additional Details:
Brings in the Brother for development; give up a few picks, but nothing they can't deal out.
WPG
  1. 2022 4th round pick (TBL)
  2. 2023 4th round pick (ANA)

Jeez Anaheim would be crying of laughter after Montreal trades Drouin WITH retention for a measly 4th round pick, lmao

Sometimes you need to give a fresh start to a player, Drouin isn't worth his real value, so this would compensate ANA's fan base not to freak out, and give him a year under the sun to play and have fun again without the immense pressure of MTL. Makes you laugh, but what would you give for him? A first round? 2nd? 3rd? With the recent history, you'd get linched in Anaheim.

would love to see the Habs land Marchment, I'm just iffy that he is only scoring because of the team he's on. If they lock him up I'd hate for him to be another Backes/Beleskey

Same, especially if he agrees for a 3.5M$ salary. But with one of the top 3 Centers for draft this year, or Dvorak, I'm sure he'll still produce the number of point we need. We need another sizable player for that second line.

Absolutely. 3.5 million for a power forward who ideally scores 35-40 points would be awesome.

Maybe even a bit crazy.. Still have a bit more than 2M$ available, so they could offer an extra million if need be..
