Next Summer and future moves
Jeez Anaheim would be crying of laughter after Montreal trades Drouin WITH retention for a measly 4th round pick, lmao

Updated Oilers TDL
Small moves overall, as expected...
However, they will be useful additions I think. Kulak cost a bit much but good to have him in Edmonton.

I give this an absolute zero chance that Seattle does that move, unless Chiarelli is literally at the helm.

Colorado runs away with that deal considering where they'll likely draft lol, especially with retention.

Excellent point regarding his RFA status, Lehk's been with us so long I tend to forget he's still an RFA.

MTL Deal rev2
I think this is a good deal for the Habs, Lehk would be an exceptional depth piece for Edmonton, and he can score.
It's a bit of a steep price, but if Edmonton makes it past the first round it's a worthwhile add.

Adding Lehk to that Colorado team would be a fantastic add.

Possible Goalie Fix
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McRanteskog</b></div><div>If Jake Allen is considered a goalie fix, you’ve got serious problems on your hands</div></div>
I get what you're saying, but he has actually been much more consistent and makes important saves, a lot of his bad numbers fall on the awful D in front of him.
I'm not saying it's the best fix, but just an option, thanks for commenting!

Yeah.... No.
Why a cap dump when you had the cap space to hold onto Alzner anyway? Doesn't really make sense.

You make good points, I guess we'll just have to wait and see how they play, and see if Panarin signs there or not. Of course this is just an ideal 'dream' haha

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Poehling</b></div><div>Shaw 27 points in is last 27 games & you scraches him ? Yeah MTL fans ...</div></div>
Before talking that way consider this, who does he replace? Do we move Tatar? Do we trade Shaw with salary retained?
I know Shaw is a good player, its just tough to find who he would replace.
Recency bias is pretty strong here too, which is fine, but its important to note future players.

Playoff push
I see no point in losing the future just for potentially one year of Stone and in a year where we aren't expected to even get past the first round...
As for Lindholm, I don't see Anaheim letting him go unless its a REALLY enticing offer.

While you're not incorrect about his grammar, what relevance to his comment does that even have? His comment about Maatta being bad might be wrong, but he's right about Brassard after all.

Edmonton doesn't even look at that deal, sure Suter is good, but he's 33 and they'd be trading potential future forwards and D for a guy with a big contract and aging body.

MTL Would have to include more to get Klefbom, Tatar is good, but Klefbom is a much more crucial piece of Edmonton than Tatar would be.
MTL would likely need to include more picks, or perhaps a B prospect.

Oilers strength
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Max</b></div><div>Have you ever seen him play or did yoh just look at his points? Hes far from a bust</div></div>
Busts don't always refer to players who stop playing in the NHL, they refer to those unable to reach the expectations of their drafted positions.
Puljujarvi is an excellent backchecker and can play very well in dirty areas, he's an effective shooter and by all means I love the guy.
But for me, at this time, even for Edmonton, likely not worth it.

Oilers strength
Not an awful trade, I'm just not sure if Bergevin would take a risk on a player that seems to be a potential "bust"
Then again, he is only 20, and perhaps development from another team would be beneficial to him.

Oh yeah of course, if MTL had more depth at C maybe they'd entertain the offer, but just currently its not really something they'd even look at.
