yeah he's clearly not the first choice but you can't always get your first pick. Even more so when you're called the oilers. what i mean is that he should be one of your main options

That is very true. I think a lot of players don’t want to come over to Edmonton. I have my eyes on Reimer, but we will see if we can get him. It would be hard to get a Varlamov, or Ullmark or someone who makes 5M, because we are tight against the cap. If we can’t get Reimer, I would absolutely look at Allen.. especially before I look at Georgiev.

yeah i like reimer for you guys but he might be in demand after this season. allen could be a great option b. his numbers are very underwhelming compared to his play. he,s been very good this year and he's on a good contract

Puustinen and a 3rd is a more then fair for Hoffman, but I can't see Pitt being a good fit for another past prime top 9 forward. Hextall seems pretty intent in keeping what little forward prospects they have. Hoffman could be a fit if they can't keep Rust or Rakell.

I’m hoping they would trade him to us since they got Kahkonen, but they may use Reimer to teach Kahkonen. Allen would be a good option, and he’s always been good. He’s making 2.8M, so just a little more than Reimers 2.25M contract. I believe we could make it work for next year with how tight we are. Let’s say we trade for Allen. Is there a way we can do the deal and not give up Konovalov, or does he have to be included?

that's what i had in mind. with either of those moving and the never-ending need to compete in think hoffman will be the type of guys pitt will trade for

The only other one we have is Rodrigue… I’m just not sure I would want to trade a good prospect like that for Allen with a one year contract. We may trade one, but we might want another piece to be included.

I believe Konovalov will be a decent goalie in the future. A good backup probably. I just don’t know if Holland would want to trade him for a rental… if we draft one this year, then I could see it though. So maybe we could add Konovalov if we get Tyler Brennan for example. I like Brennan, and I think he is a good goalie. Would love to see him develop, then come up to the oilers.
