So trade nylander and liljegren (young right shot d) and not even improve the defence? How does this make any sense.

Trying to win in playoffs maybe? They're both soft and Liljgren is a bust.

Nashville aren't trading Jeannot, a 6'2 power forward 30 goal scorer, for Nylander, a soft 1-way 30 goal scorer.

And you want Nashville to add?

Even with the value tilted in Nashvilles favor you’d have to pry L’Heureux and Jeannot from Poiles deathgrip. They are both players in the mold of what Nashville is trying to build in the future.

Nylander is the best player in the trade currently but Nashville would likely pass because he doesn’t fit what they’re trying to build in a team and is perceived as soft.

30G pace but 50point vs 80 point Nylander pace

This is laughable. Trading nylander may be the move if they lose again but he did have 5 goals last playoffs so it’s not like he can’t contribute to a playoff team.
Liljegren is 22 with 60 games of experience, has good advanced numbers and has been solidly improving. He will only get better. Can’t predict exactly what he will be but not a bust.
I’m not even against trading both players, I’m just saying improve the defence if you’re going to.
