Ignoring any other factors, I would 100% rather keep Yamamoto and pay him the likely smaller amount that he'll command rather than pay Debrusk 4mil. Debrusk is on a similar level just with more of a one-dimensional, offensive game. Besides, if the team is already bringing in Crouse, they're better off sticking with Yamo and returning Holloway to his strong side.

That ARI deal is quite the mess and I don't think I consider it as EDM. Not saying that due to poor value necessarily, but it's just not what I'd spend assets on. Kassian will likely cost something to be rid of but I'm not convinced Barrie will if they can find the right dance partner. Further, I'd much prefer to keep Foegele.

Overall, most of your new contracts are quite shy of the dollar amount the players would likely get (Crouse & Jesse ~4mil, Kane ~4 to 5mil, Paul is asking ~3mil).
