Description
Kept Hags on LTIR because I don't know what will happen with him. He will either be bought out, traded, or retire, but my prediction, he won't be on roster next year.

There is only 1 UFA Goalie I would want the Caps to go for, and that is Darcy Kuemper. I don't know if Avs resign or not. I am probably one of few fans that do not think Holtby reunion would be good for the Caps. I get that he is a Caps legend, but I would rather want an inconsistent yet high potential 26 year old (Sammy) over an inconsistent 32 year old (Holts).

If the Caps roll with the same goalie tandem, then an upgrade on defense will need to be made. A shutdown defensive LHD would be great. Is Kulak going to be available / is he a fit for the Caps / what is his contract looking like? Genuinely do not know

For forwards - I could go for a reunion with Burky. Burky - Backy - Mantha would be a really strong 2nd line. Would also push Oshie down to hopefully prevent some injuries with reduced responsibilities. Maybe a 6 x ~6 contract for Burky?

I really like the thinking here and I think this would work. I actually think Johannsen is ahead of Alexeyev as Jo has had a very good year and is skating and passing and puck handling really well. I don't know if Kulak is a shutdown D or not but I agree that it would be nice to have one again in our top six.

Honestly I haven't heard much about Alexeyv or Johannsen so either would work. Just glad some of our younger guys are starting to progress to the NHL roster.
I just threw Kulak in there, but like you said, it would really be nice to have a shutdown dman. Pair him with TVR and that is a pretty solid 3rd line right there.

Don't care as it won't be on the Caps.
