And how do you suggest the rangers sign Fiala especially if they want to keep one of copp or strome

Let Strome go, and have him replaced by Copp, trade Georgiev, and Chytl.

The 1st deal os beyond bad for Minnesota. The 2nd deal, not sure it will happen because kaprizov speaks Russian with him

Othmann is 16th overall pick from 2021 who has 91 points in 63 games and Kravtsov is also a former first rounder, and you get a 2nd for a guy who has priced himself out of Minni.

Othmann would be a great addition.

The Rangers traded a very comparable winger in Buchnevich (who signed for 5.8 per) for a 2nd rounder because they couldn't afford his cap hit going further. So they aren't going to turn and trade for a likely more expensive player while giving a bundle of good assets to do it.

That Russian player currently has zero value. Also Minnesota doesn't need anymore winger prospect, so no your value for fiala is bad.

Still not enough especially since we have to sign kakko maybe 2m then would need a back up and players to fill hole that we lose to FA

There "may be" a few teams that would pay close to full price for Fiala, knowing he wants 7+m, doubt it. Like Buchnevich, expect a lower return. If Buch's ask was 5m, we could have had a bidding war

Rangers wanted a certain player and were fixating on him. Ottawa also very much want him and so will others. Clearly you are wrong. One bad trade by another gm doesn't compare. Sam Reinhart wanted out and got a 1st and top prospect. Marc Andre Fleury got a 2nd essentially unless Minnesota moves to western conference finals.

So to say Guerin who sticks to his guns won't get a 1st or has no leverage is false

Yup, a 1st & kid is expected, just not from NYR or most teams. Same with JTM @8+m, Boeser @7+m. Btw Kravtsov still has value, as if an ARI wouldn't give us an early 2nd?! and Othmann is not just another winger

Rangers wouldn’t trade Othman for fiala one for one given the contract situation. Fiala is going to cost 5m or more per year, as will one of copp/Strome. Rangers also have to resign kakko and they have like 8m in cap space.
