Not anywhere close for Scheifele. It would need to start with a young center with top 6 potential or a young RHD with top pair potential.

We’ll I disagree with you on the young center part. They have JLD and Perfetti so their future at C on their top 2 lines is pretty set. And I think they are more in a win now type of mode so that’s why I gave a top 6 forward and a top pair D currently in the NHL on team friendly deals

Perfetti has yet to play a game at center in the NHL, so it's a bit early to anoint him as a top 6C. I don't think the Jets are ready to do that.

I know you would like to pass Provorov off as a top pair D, but from anyone who's watched him and any scouting reports you heatr on him, he's never lived up to that hype and is an average second pairing guy. So, Provorov's contract is actually a negative as it is pricy for a second pairing guy. Her also doesn't fill a need for Winnipeg as the Jets have plenty of depth at LD.

Konecny would be a nice add but obviously doesn't start a conversation for a PPG 1C on a sweetheart deal.

Ottawa is adding WAY more cap in players they do not need. Better to just buy Z out. Need that space to sign Giroux.

Sorry but Winnipeg declines, Zadorov will get a multi year deal @ around $4,000,000 per he's not signing for cheap for one year. Detroit could use him and would outbid that.

I would absolutely love Konecny on the Jets, but this doesn’t get a deal for Scheifele done… plus we don’t need LHD. We have Morrissey and 2 young LHD kids ready to make the jump… we only need top pairing RHD on defence.
