Just for fun dont take it serious

Description
Please don't beat this up. This is just for fun all based around the Edmonton trade. Would Edmonton ever entertain trading Draisaitl? I know both Scheifele and Hellebuyck would get more of a return in individual trades, but would they get someone as dominant as Draisaitl? Or is Draisaitl only as good as he is because of McDavid?

And yes I am aware that Keumper will never sign here.

If there is any coach that survives an offseason purge it would be Wade Flaherty.

You think so? He would be one of my top coaches to go. Helle is not getting better, his job is to correct his mistakes. In my opinion, him and Huddy are the 2 worse coaches.

And Thank you for focusing more on that then the trades. I can only imagine the comments about to come here from Oiler and Blue Jacket fans. Watch for the Texier and Tarasov are worth 2 -1st and Perfetti and Heinola or everyone's favorite. "These guys are untouchable"

Draisaitl is definitely not just good because of Mcdavid. When Mcdavid was out Drai played even better. As an Oiler fan I wouldn't take that trade as Scheifele is not nearly as useful as Drai plus bouchard will be a very good right shot D for years to come. Helleybuck was the difference in the series last year but I think he peaked there and is on a downward trend on career trajectory.

Thanks, That's great feedback. I don't pay attention to anything that happens in Edmonton. I know that Draisaitl is better than Scheifele. I just didn't know if Helle pushed it over the edge for consideration.

My thought is that he has probably built up enough political capital and since goaltending and goalie coaches are voodoo, a new coach might just not change it. But who knows... when the purge siren sounds he better take cover like everyone else.

I will be at the next 4 home games and I hope that by the last one against Seattle that their is nobody behind the bench in suits. If they are officially eliminated tonight, they need to sit Wheeler, Scheifele, Morrissey and bring up on some young kids.

The mathematical elimination can't be tonight due to WPG holding the tiebreaker over DAL in the event they have the same number of points, but it could happen tomorrow and will definitely happen before the homestand starts. I get what you are saying though. I'd also like them to use their remaining 3 regular call ups, whatever emergency callups they can get away with and see Comrie in action too.

Elimination Case 1
Jets lose to the Rangers in regulation, and
Stars beat the Oilers

Case 2
Jets lose to the Rangers in regulation, and
Oilers beat the Stars in OT or in a shootout

Case 3
Jets lose to the Rangers in regulation, and
Kings beat the Ducks, and
Golden Knights beat the Capitals

Case 4
Jets lose to the Rangers in OT or in a shootout, and
Predators beat the Flames, and
Stars beat the Oilers

Case 5
Jets lose to the Rangers in OT or in a shootout, and
Stars beat the Oilers, and
Flames beat the Predators in OT or in a shootout

Edit: PlayoffStatus.com has all of that info
