Dream Offseason

Description
Signing Campbell is the most important thing. I think the rough stretch he had during the middle of the year isn't going to be a trend and that he can stabilize the net for us. Him and Vitek would be a solid tandem that gives us a shot at making the playoffs again next year. I think Mikheyev is pretty underrated (which is strange for someone playing in Toronto) and can bring some 5v5 punch and generate more offense in transition for us, which is something we've struggled to do all year. McMichael also gets the reins as the 3C, where I think he projects long term.

This is a make or break year for the Caps. We need to decide by the deadline to move Orlov/Jensen or try to extend. Hopefully Fehervary gets an extension this offseason, preferably something similar to the one Arizona gave Chychrun. If it's clear we aren't going to make the playoffs, I'd expect us to move at least one of Orlov/Jensen, Sheary and maybe more to start the rebuild off slowly.

No thanks from NSH. They've got Johansen, Granlund, Sissons, Glass, Novak, & McCarron down the middle, and wingers like Duchene, Trenin, and Tomasino who can play center too. They don't have a spot for Eller.

Doesn't have to be Nashville, hence the return just being picks.

How come? Husso has had the one breakout year, Campbell has a higher floor IMO and that's what we should be looking for. Getting goaltending that'll win games for us is going to cost a lot, we just need goaltending that won't lose the game for us.

Husso is a bit younger and puts up just as good numbers this year. Idk if I trust Campbell as much, maybe that’s just me, but either would be solid
