I gotta think this just "Montreal chatter", hoping some team will bite on Gallagher. Lots better way for a team to spend 6.5m X 5.

Habs fan here and unless some random GM is truly in love with the player, I don't see him moving.

Let's be honest: he's a poor skater who can't keep up with the play, has mediocre puck skills (the puck dies on his stick), a below average shot (perimeter scoring is out of the question), and is constantly hurt. Throw in the horrible contract and declining offensive production and we're absolutely stuck with him.

For all the man's heart, he's just not a + value player.

So what is he worth according to you. A 7th rd pick

Kings just spent 3 years moving older players to rebuild, they aren’t taking on Gallaghers bad contract and there is no place where Blake has said he loves Gallagher. Retain on him, add a pick and we still don’t do it.

The thought was Gally was the engine with Danault (even I thought that), it turns out the engine was Danault.

Gally might thrive with Danault, but Danault is doing far better without him and Tatar. Kings don’t make any trades to get Danault’s former line mates, because he is doing better with Arvidsson and Moore.

Unfortunately the reason why i took a 3 year sample size is to account for "bad luck"
Injuries troubles for three consecutive years, more likely chronic issues than just bad luck

The only chronic issue he has is getting hit with pucks and sticks. Puck in the foot, crosscheck to the hip, stick to the face, etc. If he was getting the same injury all the time, that's chronic and likely to repeat.

Technically, he has a chronic issue of getting hit with things, but that's a result of him fighting in front of the net fearlessly. You'd rather have that than a guy who avoids the tough areas, even if it means he'll miss some time.
