I mean, it cost you a 2nd to potentially trade a little less than half of Dadonov's cap hit at the deadline (taking back the same term @2.75 for Moore, who would have been LTIR'd for the rest of this year), so I doubt it costs a dime less now...plus, the actual cash owed is significantly more than the cap hit, which isn't really Arizona's M.O.
I'd be willing to bet that injuries to their top players was 99% of this teams issues, and that regardless of what they do, they're going to be right back at the top of the standings next year. A full, healthy offseason for Eichel, and Stone+Patches at 100%, plus whatever happens in net, and this team is going to scare a lot of people again.
