Hoffman had 35 points this year. Silvferberg had 37 points.....in the last 2 years combined. That is a horrible trade for mtl

Kapanen doesnt fill any team needs and if we are putting Drouin out there (a .5+ ppg player) for less than a 3 million cap we can get a better return than that.

The last one is the only one I would entertain.

Silfverberg is a good player, maybe another Tatar gem wink

You know players can bring something else than points..
Lots of dzone starts, good giveaways/takeaways ratio, ...
He could be a lot more valuable than Hoffman.

Kapanen I always really liked, he is a bit streaky but good skater and good takeaways/giveaways ratio and we have his cousin in the organization

Silfverberg is OK when healthy - sadly he hasn't been for a couple years. Change of scenery could help? Definitely not the craziest proposal I've seen for Hoffman

2 of the last 3 seasons Silfverberg has had an above 50 percent Ozone start percentage. He is making 5.25 million as a winger he has to produce way better than what he is defensive play is only worth so much (especially when its not elite anymore) . He is getting 1:46 of PP time over the past 2 years and he is barely a 30 point pace forward. Its not like has this major history of being productive either to "return to" he has never hit 25 goals or 50 points and only hit 45 points once. He is just way more expensive Armia at this point.

Kapanen also doesnt fit a need. We need to dump wingers not add them this offseason and all this deal does is move more money to the wings that we cant afford to spend.

The last one makes no sense for the Devils. There would be cheaper asset players out there, any of the SJS goalies, than giving up Blackwood and Zacha for Allen.
