If Trotz is hired

Created by: Ivanov333
Team: 2022-23 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: May 9, 2022
Published: May 9, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
If Trotz is hired I think the Jets should stick with the core they have due to the fact that Trotz can get more out of less. The rest is just signings of defensive minded players which would fit well with Trotz's philosophy and would fortify the depth which the Jets lacked last season

I feel like Trotz wouldn't be a good fit for this team. Forwards are all quite terrible at defense.

When he went to Long Island, the players he initially had were not good defensively but he transformed them and I can see the same happening in Winnipeg

I think trading Schmidt here is still a mistake. IMO he was far from the issue in Winnipeg this year

My concern would be them not buying into the system. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I still feel like its Winnipegs best option but yeah maybe it would not materialize into success
