Description

Olofsson will be traded at the deadline - he has more value being traded at the deadline at 2.5 milllion than as an RFA, + we still get half a year of service of him.
Peterka in the scenario is not blocked in, he will play damn near the whole season and be first called up for injuries/slumps, would love to see him not forced into a spot, but rather try to push someone out in training camp and fight for it throughout the year.
Fiala just a fun idea to sub in, makes more sense for other teams to trade for him, and definitely not "giving up" on Mittelstadt but you have to give to get.
Center depth looks a lot weaker, but this is assuming the Sabres first rounder will be used on a center, one of Wright/Slafkovsky/Lambert/Savoie/Cooley/Geekie

That is quite far off from Fiala value. Replace Mits with Cozens and even still I doubt. Maybe if VGK somehow wins the lottery.

I don’t think you can place Mittlestadt for Fiala under the “giving to get” label. I’d say it’s more like “here, you can have a bottom 6 center and we’ll take your 1st line winger”

Yeah no chance you get close to that, maybe if fiala had a contract, but you have to realize RFAs have much less value. Look at what Buchnevic got traded for last year
