Have you watched any of your own games? Nichushkin is worth quite a bit more than that. If you're gonna offer that, at least give him 8 years. Romanov is worth more too. Forsberg would be impossible to acquire.

Drouin is an injured downgrade from Compher.
Romanov is a downgrade from Girard.
The two 2nds dont help COL compete for a cup in the last year of Mackinnons cheap contract.

Hahahahaha. Good luck with either of those. The Avs could also get a 1st if JT Compher becomes a 90 point center, but that’s not going to happen. The trade is awful for the Avs.

Most of the free agency signings don’t make much sense either (underpay for Nuke, overpay for Lehkonen, not enough term for Manson or Zadorov as UFAs. If you give those players contracts they would accept, you’re no longer cap compliant and you can’t afford to re-sign guys next summer.
