Description

Aside from the Letang signing, Habs shouldn't focus too hard on adding top players and should keep offloading deadwood. Drouin, Byron, Allen, and potentially Hoffman are likely candidates to get moved by the trade deadline. A lot of this is obviously dependent on Price not being healthy enough to play.

honestly curious what the thought process in moving petry out and bringing letang in is? I know petry had a pretty horrible season but they're pretty in ability, age, and salary

His wife left him with the kids midway through the season to go back in Michigan cause she was fed up to be in Canada, what more are you looking for? His wife ain't coming back in Canada but they're still engaged.

letang is head and shoulders better than petry

Petry wants out, and apparently Letang is open to signing in MTL. So from the Habs perspective, it makes sense to get some assets back for Petry and not have to give any up on Letang.
