Forgot to add the reason for the Karl trade.

Erik had 26 points in the first 33 games before injury and was by far his best run in teal. He was never the same after that and played like he didn't care, as he has most of his time in SJ. He has the ability to be elite still but clearly lacks the passion to play in teal

I think the hawks would rather keep the pick and pick up a goalie/backup via free agency. they could also just embrace the suck and resign delia and lankinen.

Totally. Adin will find a home no matter what, he's still got 1B potential and put up some excellent starts before his injury.

Murray, Brannstrom and 2nd and I would do it

Karlsson would make 9.0 for the next 5 years and has a long injury list now. Like Murray, but only has 2 years left. Way less risky.

If the team gets sold and Alfredsson is part of ownership, then maybe there would be a possibility for this but as of now, it would never happen

He has had a lot of bad luck with injuries... like Matt Murray actually. It's hard to remain an elite athlete when injuries keep coming

Its considerable. I'd probably only retain 2mil for Brannstrom though.
