I don't understand these Miller for 2nd overall trades

Miller has one year left and doesn't fit the Devils timeline.

Demko or Quinn would be the players Devils would be interested in trading for, not Miller

Nj isn't trading their 2OA pick for Miller with 1 year left. That 2OA pick could be a better player than Miller ever was in the future.

The only player I'd trade the #2 overall pick for is Quinn Hughes. Not even Pettersson. Vancouver says no and we say ok bye.
