If NSH signs Forsberg for $8M/yr, they're not going to trade him for pending UFA negotiating rights value.

I like Sean Walker but I doubt the Devils make this trade. Despite having a blue line built nearly entirely of monsters, Tom wants to add more "size and mobility"

Current Devils projected blue line for how insane this is btw

    6'5" 220 - 6'6" 230
    6'2" 218 - 6'2" 205
    6'6" 229 - 5'11" 180
    6'1" 195

Helge Grans on the other hand....

If it’s a sign and trade it’ll cost more than that for forsberg

How is a signed Forsberg only costing 2 3rd's? That is the steal of the century for LA and insanely unrealistic.

Trying to find other comps, but what would be a realistic trade then? I figured if they were losing Forsberg as a UFA, then getting two 3rd’s wasn’t a bad deal.

I took the “size and mobility” comment as a hint that Fitzy wants Mukhamadulkin in lineup sooner rather than later. It sounded like the same terminology he uses when taking about Muk.

Chance he makes team as 3RD next year.

I mean, I personally don't think he's even remotely ready for that. And he's apparently going to be on loan to Ufa anyway (though I wonder if this whole Utica thing is to get him to defect).

I think if he makes team, he stays.

So I guess another way to look at it, if they want him to stay, he makes team.

Technically, there are no loans to KHL anyway.

If he makes the team, I wonder what the coaches are seeing that I'm not. The man is...incapable of playing under pressure.

On the other hand, he can be the big, heavy, skilled winger we've been looking for....

Mark stone would be the closest imo.

Erik Brannstrom, Oscar Lindberg and a 2020 second-round pick.

The difference would be age though so maybe a prospect and a pick or 2 2nds maybe.

    Mukhamadullin is a dman.
And is a pretty cool customer.

He plays defense, yeah. He shouldn't though. Mans is a forward who was tall so they made him play D and he never went back. Tom should switch him back.

He's talented. Nice hands and skated really well. Brain freezes under pressure though. I'm not optimistic.

Every time I watch him I’m more confident in my assessment, last two Utica games no exception. Shakir is the heavy skill winger we’ve been looking for. This man is not a defenseman.
