If a team needs goaltending why don’t they just sign a real goaltender then. Mrazek is gonna cost way more to dump. He was so bad this year he doesn’t even fill a team’s need for goaltending

I guess I just disagree. More likely a buy out vs trade to be honest. There truly are 10 goalies that are UFA that I'd rather have than Mrazek...and that's not including his too high cap hit and even higher salary. I watch the Canes and knew he was bad before he was even signed in TOR. Add even more injuries, even more consistently inconsistent play. He's just not a 1B. He's a pure backup.

Vancouver should take that, Islanders would probably want two thirds instead of a third and fourth to take that deal. Mrazek is going to cost more than a 4th to move out, it’s likely a first or second and the leafs take a middle rd pick back. Teams have no incentive to take a bad contract on for picks in the 4-7th rd.

Probably not. He was great this year but had tough stretches, I can see him making between 3 and 4

I just think most the contracts are a little underestimated.

But he was still overall a solid goaltender and in the playoffs went toe to toe with one of the best in the world. Goalies are also scarce in this league and the fact is anyone can make an offer on Campbell. There’s a team in Edmonton who really needs a goalie and loves grabbing former leafs in UFA (see Hyman, Zack; Barrie, Tyson; Ceci, Cody) who’d easily beat your offer

I think Van declines. Holl is about as good as Poolman. I’m sure another team would give up a late round pick for him however
