Goligoski signed an inexpensive extension with an NMC, I would be shocked to see Minnesota move him for anything. Plus, you're signing Ian Cole to a below-market deal - offer him $2.5M with some of the money you saved without getting Goligoski, put him at LD2, and use that extra money to bring up Hutton or Wotherspoon or whoever to be 7th D.

I also get that this is "ideal" but those are both cheap deals for Fiala and Forsberg. If Fiala was taking $6.3M on an extension, I think the Wild would've signed him already and figured out the other moves to make around that. Same with Forsberg - he's probably going to push the $9.5-10M range in AAV if Nashville doesn't extend him.
