Bruins Rebuild Roster

Created by: koofyslappa
Team: 2022-23 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: May 17, 2022
Published: May 17, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I think that if Bergeron retires, then the Bruins will go into a rebuild. I do not think it will be a heavy rebuild but rather a "competitive one". Bruins aren't a team that is willing to go through a couple of non-competitive years.

Lots of these trades are reaches, but how do the Bruins go forward without Bergeron, while having crappy contracts with people like Foligno, Wagner, all the LD, and Ullmark?

I imagine they would try and go younger, maybe bring Lysell and Beecher up. Extend Lazar, give Blidh and Steen a full time shot, etc.

If the Bruins were to go into some sort of rebuild, Larkin should definitely be a target. A young, top six center who has a great locker room presence.

None of these trades really benefit the opposite team and this would not be nearly as good of a roster as last season. Overall it doesn’t make the roster that much younger

Non-Bruins fan here but I like it. Trades seem fair but not really sure if they match team needs. The Detroit one is interesting because they're adding multiple pieces for Larkin and have a ton of cap space. They can work backwards and start extending people beyond the coming season and plan for what's left to spend in this offseason. They also have a ton of draft picks to move for players if they wanted as well.

Detroit isn't trading Larkin and absolutely not in a quantity for quality trade.

If Detroit had other centers ready to replace Larkin maybe. But they aren't going to trade the one top 6 center they have that's from Michigan, and certainly not for that package

Not even close for Dylan Larkin, How many times do we need to say that Boston doesn't have the pieces to nab Larkin. they've one of the worst prospect pools in the league. Not a single one of the pieces remotely interests us. And you didn't even include a 1st round pick get real here. Dylan Larkin isn't going anywhere and Boston doesn't come close to having the pieces to land him.
