I can't see Nashville even being remotely interested in that trade. And I don't think Philly fans are going to be happy with this either tbh

That Jeannot proposal is so bad, it could be a Steve Simmons column.

Nylander > Konecny
Couturier > Tavares - but allows Philly to get out from the 8 year term of Couturier and can be rid of Tavares in 2 years as they rebuild
York = SDA - gives Philly another young potential impact forward up front for rebuild while they have some solid D pieces already tied up - plus don't have to pay him in a year

Nashville was interested in Holl at the deadline and Alex Kerfoot had more points than Jeannot - who only has one year of NHL experience - and can play centre or wing, much more versatile

Value isn't significantly off. Have to remember Jeannot has about 95 games of NHL experience and has put up points at a Kerfoot level or less, plus Nashville wanted Holl at the deadline. Kerfoot is much more versatile than Jeannot and Jeannot could get a sizeable raise after next year if he has another good season.

I get what you're saying. But I just think Couturier is a non starter for them. He's their franchise center sort of. He's a selke winner, they're committed to him. I just don't think they'd even consider moving him unless it was for a player that was significantly better than him. Just my opinion but I just can't see Couturier being moved in any deal like this

First I've heard about NSH being interested in Holl. It's possible they inquired about him at the deadline, but they went with Lauzon. Regardless of whether Lauzon was a good idea, NSH has their #6 dman.

Kerfoot doesn't seem like a fit for NSH either, but even if he was I think you're vastly underestimating Jeannot's value to them. He's the most untouchable forward on the Preds. To ballpark what it would take, think about what you as a Leaf fan would accept for Bunting, then add.
