I agree Beauvillier over Kerfoot but it is not a lie to say Kerfoot has outproduced him.
Raty is scoring at an 18 goal pace in the A. Real elite prospect lol. I don't think you can say Raty is better than Robertson just because he had one good year in SM-liiga.
Regardless if the rest turn out to be AHLers (which I don't believe they are), they are still assets that Vancouver didn't get in return for Bo....

I would argue much, much better lol
Raty has struggled to produce at AHL level. The 1st rounder from NYI is protected. Beauvillier is a middle six forward who has never scored 20 goals and Kerfoot has outproduced him. Not to mention Canucks retained salary on Horvat.
Robertson is an elite top prospect who has shown an ability to contribute in the NHL already and is too good for the AHL. Steeves and SDA are only 23 and 22 putting up .80 ppg or more in AHL and would walk into SJ lineup. Filip Kral is also an NHLer at 23 in SJ. Plus an uprotected 1st and additional 3rd.
It might be double NYI's trade value for Horvat.

If Calgary is blowing up their team why would they get more expensive, older and worse? It's completely nonsensical</div></div>
Lol completely disregards any stats........"MUCH better"
Makes sense

Lindholm at 4.8 million is miles better than Tavares at 11 million and is 4 years younger.
Marner also has much less term than tkachuk would be getting.
It's God awful</div></div>
Tkachuk better than Marner? What planet are you on? It's not even close.
Lindholm miles better? Lindholm has 183 pts in 203 games in his last 3 seasons.
Tavares has 186 in 192 games. I understand being younger and cheaper but you can't argue miles better with stats like that. I would accept a wash at best on those two.

Marner - Tkachuk isn't even close to a wash. Very far from it.

Just saw it suggested on Twitter.
Calgary gets the best player in the deal by quite a margin but takes on Tavares contract in the process. Obviously Tavares may not waive.

His agent also said the opposite a couple of weeks ago so who really knows. I don't think there is any sense in the Flames signing him long term at this point with the state of their team. They will have to overpay to buy up UFA years.

They definitely do. Mangiapane isn't re-signing. He didn't want to sign long term prior to Gaudreau and Tkachuk leaving so he sure isn't signing now. Holl and Kerfoot play large minutes on that team and get moved at the deadline for at least a 2nd and 5th if not more. Hirvonen is a top 5 prospect in Leafs system

Value isn't significantly off. Have to remember Jeannot has about 95 games of NHL experience and has put up points at a Kerfoot level or less, plus Nashville wanted Holl at the deadline. Kerfoot is much more versatile than Jeannot and Jeannot could get a sizeable raise after next year if he has another good season.

Nylander > Konecny
Couturier > Tavares - but allows Philly to get out from the 8 year term of Couturier and can be rid of Tavares in 2 years as they rebuild
York = SDA - gives Philly another young potential impact forward up front for rebuild while they have some solid D pieces already tied up - plus don't have to pay him in a year
Nashville was interested in Holl at the deadline and Alex Kerfoot had more points than Jeannot - who only has one year of NHL experience - and can play centre or wing, much more versatile

I hear you on not wanting Eakin - but if it helps get you Sam and you only have him for a year.
You can put him in the press box and move Vilardi to the middle and Robertson up worst case.

I disagree on being worse. Hamilton + Smith > Rielly by a long shot
Lines are a mistake, Hyman still on line 1
Scoring depth is much better in top 9 than it currently is - plus some bigger bodies who can create offence off of the cycle, which is exactly what's needed in the middle 6
