Description
Trade breakdowns:

NJD:
Holl is a solid 3rd pairing defenceman only making $2M. Great cheap replacement for Subban and only giving up a 4th.

NSH:
With Forsberg not likely to return, there is an open spot on the LW, I know it would be a major downgrade to go to Kerfoot, but he would help their PK unit and if not the Preds, it’s likely he’s dealt to another team possibly in a similar package.

WPG:
This one I may be flammed for lol, for other moves I made, I couldn’t afford to bring Engvall back, therefore I resorted to a cheaper LW replacement.

ARI:
It’s likely Chychrun gets dealt, it’s just a matter of where at this point. Could potentially add more to this deal to make it work, but two very solid prospects, a first round pick along with a third felt like enough, but I’m unsure.

BOS:
The big one. I’m very aware that this trade is basically guaranteed not to happen, but if Bergeron decides not to continue playing, Boston could POTENTIALLY look to move into a rebuild/retool phase and try to get younger. This trade helps that. Nylander is a proven 25 year old that can play on Pasta’s opposite wing, Sandin is a 22 year old dman that has some NHL experience and a lot of potential, Hirvonen has done very well in the Liiga, and a first round pick to top it off.

I don't like how you traded away Kerfoot and a 6th for a third. He's a good penalty killer and should be worth a second for just him. No 6th-round pick. Other than that, I like it.

For Cap reasons and due to him being an RFA I’d prefer to keep svench as a jets fan

That’s fair! I like Kerfoot but with his cap hit I wasn’t sure whether his value would be even or if we would have to take a loss due to the hit lol

You not signing Cambell for $4.5M. Thinking at least $6.5M

I thought you did a solid job with this simulation, however, I cannot see Brad Marchand playing on the Leafs, let alone with Auston Matthews.
