Wow that's bad for Toronto. Myers is a cap dump even at 50% and miller is, at best worth nylander straight up in a vacuum.

Leafs fan were ready to send Nylander to the guillotine along with half their defense not too long ago. Fair enough to say the first is too much but JT is better than Nylander.

The cap crunch in Florida is going to force them to part with something of really good value. They no longer have any meaningful draft picks in the next few years. Some recent years large cap dumps do ask for a big asset back and they can't retain on Hornvist but he will have to go.

Jt is barely better than nylander, is much older has a year less and wouldnt produce near as well getting 2nd line ice time and thats before you factor in that he had a career year he wonr repeat again even in the same conditions, then you add a terrible player cap dump.
Toronto doesnt preten to be interested

How is a second pair defenseman at 3M a cap dump? Just say you don’t know hockey if you truly think that

He is a second pair defenseman. He was actually quite good this season if you actually watched any Canucks games. He is overpaid at 6M, more worth ~4.5M. At 3M he has a lot of value

He's actually not. And i did watch him, he was a 3 ring circus of bad out there. He's got minimal value at league min

Again, another idiotic statement. A second pairing RHD at league minimum would have a lot of value. You obviously didn’t watch him because he was good this year.

He still makes some boneheaded plays from time to time but was much improved and much more consistent from his first couple seasons here

The part you keep missing is that he isnt a 2nd pairing defenceman. He is very bad at hockey and if he is on your 2nd pair you are in big trouble.
And yes i did watch him and no amount of you saying i didn't will change that

The part you keep missing is that he is a 2nd pair caliber defenseman. He’s solid defensively and can provide some offense as well. If he is very bad at hockey, how has he been in the NHL for so long? Surely if he was so bad he wouldn’t be in the league anymore

Parting with Hornqvist doesn't mean Weegar is moving... It will cost something like a 4th rounder, max, since there is interest in Hornqvist.

Weegar is at least as valuable Miller in a trade
