Sign UFA's Giordano, Spezza, Reilly Smith and Braden Holtby. Trade Kerfoot for McLeod + a pick.
I think this set up constitutes a nice reload on the fly for the leafs.

The Habs say thanks for pissing off Liljegren with that low ball offer and then O/S him at $1,386,490 (zero compensation)
And some other team does the same thing to you with Sandin
At least put a little effort into resigning these kids to reasonable contracts

Justin Holl was preferred over him in the playoffs - lets not overestimate what he brings to the table.
I dont see him being signed for much more than 1 million.

As a habs fan myself, I agree that the Leafs are vulnerable for an O/S here though. He would also add to our RD pipeline.

Ah Yes, the old...ANA said no to getting Mrazek FOR FREE, but now ANA is going want to give up a 2nd rounder for him...to play backup...

We already have a perfectly good backup goalie, so Mrazek and his $3.8 million cap hit ($8.6 million in actual cash) isn't something we'd be interested in without significant compensation, especially since you don't have a 2022 second or 2023 second.
