Description
Obviously taking on some cap dumps around the league as they are one of the few teams who can afford to take them on. No need for them to make a splash in FA this yr. Have some 1yr deals that can be moved at the deadline plus 1 more RS spot if they need to use it at the 2023 TDL.

Why would Arizona move Vermejka for Allen ?
Toronto deal is just bad for Arizona.
Vancouver is not giving up 15th OA for cap dumping an player who is only overpaid.
    Crouse is sold too cheaply

You can keep Fischer, I wouldn't mind getting in on that Crouse trade though. What would your ask be from Buffalo.

I am not a believer in Karel long term for arz, I know the roster was rough but his gsax was historically terrible and allen with a high workload yr held up much better in mtl. I think mtl takes it bc of the younger goalie with some term now. Arz doesn’t need to be good but I don’t want to mess up nhl player's development bc the goalie just sucks so much
I actually had a 2nd in that arz/tor trade before but took it away prior to publishing
Vancouver could definitely use that cap in the future and it is for the next two seasons, NHL fans think giving up the 15th overall pick is insanity but the success rate of 15-20th overall first rd picks isn’t as high as most would expect
Crouse is a player who I wasn’t overly sure where to value him at. Andrae was a 2nd rd pick and plus the 3rd. I don’t think arz can get much more unless you have a suggestion

Andrae is a 2nd rd prospect who is a 2020 drafted kid and a 3rd. Would expect something similar from buffalo plus the bjork/fischer swap even tho you personally aren’t a fan of it

But Arizona is rebuilding/tanking so Jake Allen does not help. He`ll be gone, once his contract is up.

Or if he even plays half decent on this disaster team, arz can trade him for a 3rd rd pick at the deadline similar to wedgewood this season. 23-24 is also a rebuilding season so they can do the same thing again. A gm's goal is always to put decent assets on the roster whether it is now or for the future.

Andrae is a sneaky good add. Killed it in Sweden this season and with Provy, Sanheim, Zamula and York that LHD situation in Philly is pretty established. I don’t see how Philly says no, even with their excess of wingers.

Whats similar about the Stralman deal? You doubled the price on a player that is owed significantly less money

Stralman went for Fla 2024 second and koly who was a 2nd rd choice in 2019 who actually has been half decent in arz. Lucic counts for 250k less against the cap compared to stralman. Real payouts are less on Lucic but the cap ceiling is what really matters in cgy rn and lucic is 5.25 against that rn.

Basically puting him in bad spot, hoping that he do good enough, someone would see it and that one pays really low price for it. Meh

Your math is bad. Lucic is only owed 875K in actual money next year. Stralman was owed 4.5M. Cap floor is what matters to Arizona. Im quite confident it wont cost that much to move him

The flames care that it is 5.25 against the nhl salary cap even the actual payout is 1m+ 3mil SB, edm covers part of that still.

He obviously wouldn't be traded until after his signing bonus is paid on July 1st. Which puts id down to 1M total and Edmonton pays 12.5% of that 1M. So 875K is how much he will be paid next season over the course of the season
