Aho broke open games 1 and 2 for the Canes. He absolutely demolished the Rags in the bubble too. He’s not McDavid…but I’d say he’s pretty freaking good.

At the end of the day, the Canes are up 2-1 in the series with a chance to end your season on Thursday if they play hockey. They are a better team than the Rangers.

I have confidence because the things that have caused playoffs losses for the Canes on the road this year have been special teams. Over time, our PP will break thru and our PK will get better. Having a 2-1 lead and home ice gives me confidence.

Breadman has been quiet all post season despite his production. It's been a down year for him on the ice in general. We have Fox and Igor, though. And Zibanejad. As long as you have DeAngelo and Smith, we have a good chance.

This story of this series has been told based on execution. Canes have executed their opportunities at home, and now Rangers have done the same. We now have a 3 game series with two games in Raleigh.

DeAngelo defensively has been rough, but that isn’t unexpected. Smith, I’m not sure why you point him out. He’s been pretty good defensively in the role he’s playing on this team.
