So the Sabres take one of the worst contracts in the league and a cap dump for what exactly???

Gudas and Hornquist could be useful, and both of them are only one year contracts which we could live with. Bobrovsky on the other hand is ridiculously expensive & signed forever. You can’t bring in a goaltender with a four year contract. Levi, Portillo, or both will be knocking on the door for a roster spot within three years.

Even with those assets, I wouldn't be in a hurry to take Bob for 4 years.

At 6 mil I think taking Bob for his talent would be worth the cap. Levi and Portillo aren't going to be in Buffalo for at least 2 years so I'd rather have some degree of certainty than just throwing stuff in net and hope in two years one youngster becomes a god in net.
