I was thinking 5 years at 3.4 AAV. Surprising to say the least.

I was hoping for a Travis Hamonic kind of deal (7 years x 3.9m) buuut I don't think 4.5 is a bad deal, and realistically we won't know until years 3 and 4 when his performance matters most.

4.5m for a top 4 right handed defenseman that can play PP isn't too shabby

I like it, as not only is it always great to get your young guys locked up for very long terms, but it's also quite cheap for a 7-year deal.
