That is the value I just don't see Boston giving up Carlo.

Their issue will be that they will want/need a replacement for Carlo because adding 55 means they are going to try to be competitive for another year or 2.

IMO we can have Kovacevic play third pair Right D for us next year so we can add either DeMelo or Pionk to the trade, but then the cost goes up...

I think the trade is 55 + DeMelo for Carlo, DeBrusk & Lysell

The move from DeMelo to Kovacevic likely nets us an extra $2M in capspace on top of the $2M this roster leaves us with. Plus the cap will go up $1M so call it $5M there. combine that with the money spent on Stas and Domi and really we have $11.5M to sign 2 players short term. If you Bump up Barron and move Harkins into his 4th line spot we have $10.5M to fill out our 2C short term. cough... Malkin... cough.

Any team that trades for Scheifele wants to win now too so they won't deplete their lineup too much for one guy.

This is going to be a hockey trade, good player for good player. If u want Scheifele ur going to have to give up a good player that how it works lol

If its Pionk the cost goes up, if it's DeMelo nah, wouldn't trade Pionk though, its just one step forward and two steps back to acquire Carlo or a similar dman while trading away Pionk.

And thats whats proposed here, also getting a 1st round pick in whats supposed to be a good draft, Idk why anyone would see a problem with that.
