Description
By dumping a few contracts and signing Kadri this team instantly looks a lot better. Lysell is young but given what he did in training camp and preseason last year along with in the whl it’s hard to believe he’s not gonna compete for that spot. If he needs some time in providence let McLaughlin/ steen get some serious looks there. Frederic is better suited for a 4th line role and Haula and lysell will bring instant speed to the 3rd line giving it a new look. Smith and Reilly cap dumps can go to any team but that should be a close return. Smith could get a late 2nd or early 3rd. D will struggle without Gryz while he recovers but hopefully zboril and achan will seize the opportunity. Hopefully Debrusk changes his mind and chooses to stay, if not flip him for either Garland or 2 2nd round picks and sign Rakell.

It’s one of those “Absolutely hate to play against him, but would love him on our team”. Especially with him not getting suspended recently and coming off a monster season

That's just the 2022-23 cap hit. It could be an incentive laden contract which impacts the cap either in 22-23 or 23-24 depending on their cap status at the end of the year.

No idea if this is even legal but year after Bergy retires. Hire him for a community job and pay him 10M.

Ah you didnt say that.

This is textbook cap circumvention. It would happen after the contract so the league wouldnt be able to void the contract but id assume the team would forfeit draft picks and get fined.
