Description
All of those picks sure look beautiful. I'm keeping Strome cause I don't know what team takes him. I also don't see Toews resigning, So like, why not resign Strome. Like who else steps in?

I would love to hear thoughts on the Debrincat trade.

Obviously trade deadline trades of Kane and Toews with half retains also happens, and Hawks have nice start into long rebuild

Devils will do one of three things with the 2nd overall

    1. Keep it and draft best player available (~90% chance this happens)
    2. Trade down a few spots and pick up an asset or two
    3. Completely trade out of the spot for a player.

Hard to believe they will be adding anything to the 2nd overall pick. And I don’t think Debrincat will be on their list. As much as I love him and would want him on the Devils, he doesn’t sound like the type of winger Fitzgerald is looking for.

Oh 100% i think the devils keep the pick. Trading out of a top spot like that hasn't happened in years. But it's certainly interesting. Debrincat may certainly be a product of Patrick Kane's offense, but I look back at who Jack Hughes was compared to during his draft. I feel nobody has any doubts that line of Cat/Hughes/Bratt wouldn't be electrifying.

I'm kinda more on board with taking the pick(Cooley or Slafkovsky) than trading it lately. As you watch more and more video and read reports about these players you kinda see where they could fit into the lineup in the next few years. If we were to trade for a player that could help us now DeBrincat is definitely one of the names that should be on Tom's list as far as age and potential impact to get this team to the next level. He's definitely a great fit. No he's not a big guy, but I've never seen him shy away from hits or not going into the dirty areas like I see from Zacha and he's much ,much bigger. He's has been getting pk time this year which I think speaks about him developing to be more well rounded. I would not be upset at all if he was the player that they trade this pick for.
