Trading away Provy is ridiculous. If the Flyers wanted to trade one of their key defenders, it would be Sanheim.

God apparently has a sense of humour.

Gaudreau has a higher take home salary in Calgary just because of taxes by about $100k. In Florida he would clear $800k more. I would guess if he is going for a discount it would be in southern US.

Every other teams GMs would take these deals. And likely they would deter any hockey player from signing in Philly. Trading a top scoring winger, a first, a top D, to get back role players and sign one player? Maybe it works out - but probably not.

How are you signing Gaudreau to an 8 year deal when the maximum term a team other than Calgary can give is 7 years?

The flyers were Johnny’s favorite team growing up so if Calgary can’t afford him than he’s most likely coming to his hometown area and signing with philly or New Jersey plus jvr is a second liner making 7 mil he can’t be on the team even a Johnny hockey who could put up 70 points would be better than him. The first is also one of two in 2024 that were never gonna use because apparently we don’t believe in rebuilds

Sanhiem has been our best defensive player for two years provy has not been a 1D and at best a 3D now on a different team he could definitely be a 1 or 2D but not here plus from interviews it sounds like he’s frustrated with the team and rather not be here like most players lol

Way too much for Soucy/buyout and Lindbolm could probably fetch us a 3rd as well

I would accept that offer as the Los Angeles GM.

The first alone is a huge overpay for a buyout… and I’d rather have Attard, he is progressing really nicely.
