It comes down to whether PHI feels comfortable with Cam York and 1 of Zamula/Attard making the team, making Sanheim on his last yr under contract moveable. Also, how they feel about Morgan Frost at 3C. Dvorak is a good 3C, but not physical enough, not offensive or defensive enough, but on a good contract and would come with 2 picks.

In the above MTL still has cap space and could still drop Byron to afford more for Copp and Nick Paul, but ultimately I was looking at a quality 2LD to guide the rookie Barron, and that they'd be able to resign him.

Sanhiem was easily the best player on Philly last year, the most important thing Philly should do this off-season is extend him.

Attard/ Zamula still need some seasoning before I’d call them up.

If Sanhiem was available to trade, they’d do a lot better than a 3C and a 2nd and a 3rd

I’d say if the deal was with Montreal Calgary’s first and Montreals 2nd would be a starting point, followed by a high prospect.
Philly though wants to compete, I could see a package based around Barron as well but not sure Montreal does that
This is all assuming the 2023 first is off the table, even if it is protected.

Really, the price for Sanhiem is going to be very high imo, but a guy in position to become one of the best 2-way D in the game and is still that young would be worth it for most teams

He's not healthy, he was having serious swelling and pain in his knee in the games he did play. His end of season interview he acknowledged that he may have played his last Game and prepared his day like it was his last. Mentions of him needing another surgery, price himself said as of right now his knee won't hold up for a full season.

PHI isn't trading Sanhiem for Dvorak and MTL isn't trading a C (position of high need) for a D, they can't afford to.
Romanov isn't taking that little for 3 years.
MTL isn't signing Paul, they have states numerous times they're going for speed and skill and paul doesn't fit their wants.
