Making room for the young ones

Description
I'm just messing around with the idea of both Scheifle and Wheeler being moved as well as creating roster spots for the young Dmen.
Scheifle to CAR is a move they make after being knocked out of the playoffs. Necas is a really good defensive C/RW with some offensive upside and then I just basically grabbed whatever propspect and added Fast for salary
Wheeler is so hard to predict but I do think the Coyotes would be interested in the first and then flipping him and retaining salary. Not sure how the Coyotes fans feel about this

I think base is there for CAR to def consider that. Probably swap Fast out with a pick instead. He's more valuable to us than he would be in a trade IMO and I think the main pieces for WPG would be Necas / Drury.

I suppose Scheifele is an ok target for the Canes, but can’t see this as the plan. As for the trade, Necas sure…but doubt the Canes would do much more that that.

To be honest I dont know much about the Canes outside of these playoffs, but they really needed a 2C that can score at 5 on 5 and the PP. Scheifle has been more than point per game players as the 1C in Winnipeg. I think Necas plus plus is fair value.

That was supposed to be Trocheck - but alas we are at home wondering who his next team is going to be.

Ok, but the ‘plus plus’ is what’s up for debate. As proposed here, to me it’s a clear no from the Canes. Fast is more than just salary to the Canes, and I’ve seen a few posts today which are treating him this way. Drury might be a Jordan Staal replacement down the road, so can’t see the Canes trading him either.

The place the Canes are at means picks and prospects, and Necas/Bear RFAs being the trade pieces. Think Drury is seen as more then just a prospect to the Canes org.

Schiefele would play as a RW or 4C in carolina. He is the anthesis of a RBA centerman. RBA wouldnt trust him in 5 v 5 situations so he would sit a lot. I dont see Sch as a fit in the slightest with Carolina.
