Description
Calgary doesn’t lose Gaudreau for nothing, which is beneficial to them by adding a 3rd for free basically. Isles are able to lower Gaudreau’s AAV and allows them to fix LD2.

Bailey maybe doesn’t go to Arizona, but that’s the return I’m expecting.

Not sure if Boston retains on Reilly but if they do, is that too little or about right? The Soucy trade would just be a backup

        If Johnny signs at $9.75M he stays in Calgary. He's going to get 11 if he hits free agency or does a sign and trade.

        boston cant retain this year. if they want to be semi competitive its a full 3m out.

        Calgary will probably sign Gaudreau if he's asking for 10M or less. If he hits open market he probably gets 11,000,000 x 7

        7×11=77m
        8×9.75=78m
        Im assuming the assumption is he tells treliving hes not re-signing and he picks up an asset but that seems very unlikely. However if that were to happen the money makes a lot of sense actually.

        You are right there. 8x9.75M sounds better for the Isles than 7x11M with their current cap situation.
